Material Handling is pleased to announce the
formation of a partnership with Eaton
Corporation to provide sales, support and
service of direct DC drive systems to the
crane and hoist industry. These systems are
used in primary metal and foundry cranes.
Magnetek, the industry leader in AC crane
controls, will take exclusive responsibility
for the sales, design, manufacturing and
service of the DDC drive systems under it’s
OmniPulse™ brand name, while Eaton will
continue to design and manufacture the
drive, contactor and breaker components.
According to Perry Pabich, Vice President of
Magnetek’s Material Handling business, “This
partnership will allow us to provide DC
drive technology to facilities currently
using older technology DCCP controls,
improving their productivity and minimizing
their maintenance costs.” Magnetek Material
Handling provides a full compliment of
overhead material handling control solutions
including AC and DC drive systems, soft
starters, motors, brakes, conductor bar and
festoon systems, remote radio controls, and
pushbutton pendant stations.
