Magnetek Launches Line of Low Voltage Soft Starters

MENOMONEE FALLS, WI— August 21, 2002 — Magnetek, a leading manufacturer of digital power and control products, today announced they have signed a partnership agreement with Solcon Industries to market a line of low voltage soft starters for use with AC motors. The soft starters range from the sophisticated, digital, full featured RVS-DN to the small, cost-effective Sol Start. Previously, Solcon soft starters were marketed in the U.S. by Magnetek Drives and Systems, a division that was sold by Magnetek to Yaskawa Electric in 2000. The new line of soft starters will be marketed under the Magnetek brandname out of the Magnetek Industrial Controls Division, located in Menomonee Falls, WI. Solcon Industries, the world’s largest manufacturer of low to medium voltage soft starters, is based in Herzlia, Israel.
